Rockbridge Solutions Selected as East Coast Agent for OHVA’s SoundPassTM

Richmond, VA, April 1, 2010.   Rockbridge Solutions President, Victoria Beach, announced today that San Jose, California based On Hand Virtual Access (OHVA) has chosen Rockbridge as their leading East Coast agent for SoundPass™ Security, a Java based multi-factor authentication software that meets FFEIC MFA Guidelines.

Although used by financial and medical organizations on the West Coast since late 2006, SoundPass has not been marketed east of the Mississippi.  In February of 2007, Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union (ABECU), which serves more than 95,000 members worldwide, implemented a large-scale deployment of SoundPass, choosing it over other solutions because they felt it offered the most affordable, multi-factor authentication solution available for large-scale deployment for Internet banking users. Stanford University is presently deploying SoundPass in its Clinic with the intent to implement a large-scale deployment later to its Hospital and University.  The NCR e-Commerce Division has selected SoundPass as their MFA and will be deploying it to their on-line customers.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) requires adding information the customer doesn’t know, but has. SoundPass uses software to add an authentication factor totally independent of human knowledge and control. It is a successful combatant to escalating threats such as phishing and Zeus Trojan.
